Biography
Alberto Deganello, MD, PhD, is Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon currently working as Associate Professor at the Academic Clinic of Otolaryngology of the University of Florence, Italy. In October 1997 he received his MD degree at the University of Padua, Italy, where in December 2001 he also completed a 4 years residency program in Otolaryngology. In February 2004 after the completion of a 2 years fellowship program in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at the VU Medical Center of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, he received the title of Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon. In 2011 he completed his PhD graduation at the University of Florence. His clinical and research activities are mainly focused on head and neck oncology, head and neck surgery and head and neck reconstructive surgery. Dr Deganello has authored 35 papers in international peer-reviewed journals as well as 12 book chapters.
