He received his Ph.D degree in 2011 from Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge, UK. Afterwards, he joined UCL to setup personalised medicine laboratory, then became associate professor working on the molecular and cellular signalling of biomarkers for various cancers including oesophageal, prostate, breast and lung cancer. In 2017, he joined University of Sharjah to head the Genomic Medicine Group. He holds chartered scientist and chartered engineer status from the UK. He is member of British Computer Society, Pathological Society, Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering Council.|
|His research interests include understanding the role of inflammatory signalling pathways in the development of cancers and autoimmune diseases, the role of immune response in disease prevention and cure using photo and sonodynamic therapy and the use of genomics and bioinformatics to elucidate the signalling pathways and mechanism underlying the pathology of various diseases.|
