Biography | ||
Pei Xu got her Doctor of Medicine and Master degree in 2008 in Tongji Medical College, affiliated to Huzhong University of Science and Technology, which is a top 5 medical college in China. After that, she was trained as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in Tongji Hospital, which is a top 10 hospital in China. In August 2012, Pei moved to U.S. and worked as a Research Fellow in University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). In September 2014, she enrolled a PhD program of Neuroscience & Cell biology in UTMB. Pei Xu have been studying the mechanism of aging and neurodegeneration diseases, especially age-related macular degeneration and Alzheimer’s disease for more than 4 years in the U.S. and more than 6 years in China. She have 22 publications with 47 citations in the recent 6 years. She is also the reviewer of more than 10 journals. |
