Biography
Dr. Xiaobin Zheng received his bachelor and master degrees in Biochemistry from Iowa State University in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Then he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016. His graduate thesis described new signaling transduction pathways that contribute to the development of endocrine therapy resistant breast tumors and discovered a small molecule that exhibits promising anti-tumor activities against late-stage breast and ovarian tumors. In 2017, he joined Insight Data Science as a Data Scientist and Program Director, where he helps PhDs and postdocs make the career transition to health-tech industries.
Research Interest
My research interests integrate basic research with statistical and computational approaches to study the regulatory mechanism with an emphasis on applying and developing machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to increase both the fundamental knowledge of cancer development and treatment and to use that knowledge for practical applications.
