Biography
Dr. Bansal completed two major research projects from AICTE- RPS (20 lacs) and Department of Science and Technology (DST)- SERB young scientist award (24 lacs). Dr. Bansal received IBRO fellowship for attending IBRO neuroscience schools in Hong Kong (2009) and Malaysia (2007).
He has published more than 70 research paper in most prestigious, peer-reviewed and high impact value national and International Journals. His research work globally recognized and published in peer reviewed journal like British Journal Pharmacology, Molecular neurobiology, Journal of Psychopharmacology, Psychopharmacology and many more. He has also published 20 review articles, 1 book chapters. Recently Dr. Bansal filed one patent from his research work. Dr. Puneet also published 3 Books with national and international renewed publishers. As per Scopus, his research work has 1311 citations with h-index 19 and Google scholar citations are 1709 and h-index is 23.Recently he got outstanding reviewer award from Elsevier for European journal of Pharmacology. He is a reviewer of all major publishers in life sciences like Elsevier, Bentham Science, Wiley, Hindawi, and Springer Sciences.
Research Interest
His research interests encompass the pharmacological screening of herbal and semisynthetic and synthetic drugs in animal models of various diseases like movement disorders (Huntington s disease, Parkinson s disease and Tardive dyskinesia),Traumatic brain Injury (TBI), epilepsy, Depression and cognitive impairment related disorders.
