Biography

Mohamed Attia Shreadah graduated from Chemistry Department, Alexandria University Faculty of Science in 1975 and has his PhD from Faculty of Science, Hokkaido University, Japan. in 1986. He has worked in National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF) since 1978. 2007- 2013: He became a director of NIOF (Alexandria) from 2003 till 2005, a Vice-President of NIOF from 2005-2007, and a President of NIOF from 2007 till 2013. Since then he became an Emeritus Professor in marine biotechnology and Isolation of Natural Products Laboratory (MBINP Lab) at NIOF. He is experienced in the field of marine chemistry and Marine pollution since 1977, especially in the following fields: 1. Treatment of petroleum pollutants and studying of oil pollution . 2. Environmental Impact Assessment of industrial activities on the marine Environment. 3. Environmental Pollutants Survey. He is also experienced in the field of Marine Biotechnology since 2009, especially in Isolation of Marine Natural Product for pharmaceutical application. He is a principle investigator of a number of important national and international projects.
