Biography
Dr. Megha Garg received her medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, India. She did her internal medicine residency from Cone Health System affiliated to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She did work on epidemiologic studies like finding the prevalence of Extra- Pulmonary Tuberculosis in her teaching hospital. She completed her rheumatology fellowship from National Institutes of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases of National Institutes of Health. She is currently working as an Associate Investigator in the Translational Autoinflammatory Disease Studies at National Institutes of Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases.
Research Interest
She studies various Autoimmune and Autoinflammatory diseases. She is particularly interested in the natural history and effects of treatment in the rare Interleukin- 1 mediated Autoinflammatory diseases like Neonatal Onset Multisystemic Diseases with onset in infancy (NOMID) and Deficiency of IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (DIRA).
