Dr. Kamlesh Prasad is a Food Technologist, post graduated from CFTRI, Mysore, India and doctorate in Food Technology and Process and Food Engineering from GBPUA&T, Pantnagar. His specialisation is in Fruits and vegetable processing. Presently, he is Professor in the department of Food Engineering & Technology, SLIET, Longowal. As author or co-author he has published more than 100 research papers in national and international journals. He has five authored books; two edited books and contributed several chapters in the book of international repute. He has conducted shot term course and chaired several conferences. He is an active board member of Agricultural and Food Management Institute (AFMI), Mysore. He is also the reviewer of many International and National Journals and edited many books and proceedings.
Dr. Kamlesh Prasad's research interest includes non destructive testing, image analysis, nano technology, engineering properties of foods and various related aspects of food processing.
