Biography
Currently, Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Patel is a Professor of Pharmaceutics and Principal, Nootan Pharmacy College and Dean (Faculty of Pharmacy), Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar, Gujarat, India. He has more than 20 years of academic and research experience, has published more than 225 research and review papers in international and national Journals, (among these about 120 papers has been published in Impact factor Journals.) and has presented more than 150 research papers at various international and national conferences as author and co-author. Dr. Patel has presented 28 research papers at various international conferences (overseas). Dr. Patel is an author of 11 books and 29 book chapters. Dr. Patel has guided 33 PhD; 88 M Pharm students for dissertation work and 08 students are currently pursuing their PhDs under his guidance. Dr. Patel is recipients of Very prestigious ?APTI Young Pharmacy Teacher Award-2014? by Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. As capacity coordinator of he organized twelve national seminars/conferences, one staff development programme, two popular lectures on biotechnology and two Pharmacist refresher course sponsored by DST/GUJCOST/AICTE/DBT/GSPC, India.
He has completed 12 industry and government sponsored research projects. Dr. Patel is recipient of Fast Track Young Scientists Award by SERB (Department of Science and Technology), Government of India, New Delhi and 19.40 Lac rupees. Total he received about INR 14 Millions for research projects or International travel grants.
