Dr. Shih-Fu OuAssistant professor, National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, Taiwan
Biography
Shih-Fu, Ou is assistant professor of department of mold and die in National Kaohsiung university of applied sciences. Prior to taking up the post, he was postdoctoral researcher and assistant professor in the department of biomaterial and tissue engineering at Taipei medical university. His current research is divided into three parts. The first is focused on using nanopowder to fabricate bioceramic and ceramic-metal composites for dental applications. The second is to develop metallic biomaterial with antibacterial ability by arc-melting and surface treatment. The third is to modify the biomedical titanium alloys to form surface nanostructure for implant applications. He is good at microstructural investigation (by OM, SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, EPMA) for metal and ceramic materials. He is also familiar with mechanical tests for metal and ceramic materials.
