Biography

My research focuses on understanding the genetic basis of cancer, particularly I am Interested in exploring the molecular mechanisms involved in genomic instability and its impact on carcinogenesis and chemoresistance. The main idea is to unravel the mechanisms involved in site specific cleavages and genetic rearrangements generated by various exogenous or endogenous agents in association with DNA repair pathways. Also, I am involved in understanding the underlying mechanisms and influence of tumor microenvironment in epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor progression. These studies can provide insights into the molecular events that lead to aggressive cancers, as well as suggest approaches for therapeutic intervention. In addition, I am interested in the design and development of Nano-based therapeutics and strategies for combating cancer overcoming the drawbacks of classical chemotherapy

Research Interest

My research interest focus on the molecular and genetic basis of the diseases specifically connecting to DNA damage and repair pathways.
