Biography

He has already published more than 20 research papers in different journals of national and international repute. He has contributed four book chapters in edited volumes and one conference proceedings. He is an editor of Neo-Thinking on Ganges Brahmaputra Basin Geomorphology, Springer International Publishing, Switzerland. He has presented papers in more than 15 national and International seminar and conferences. He had delivered several invited lectures and special lectures in different national and regional programmes. He has been performing duties as a reviewer of several international journals including Environment, Development and Sustainability (Springer), Modelling Earth System science and Environment (Springer) and International Journal of Geosciences (Scientific Research). He is an editorial board member of few international journals including International Research Journal of India and International Journal of Marine and Environmental Sciences. He is a life member of Indian Geographical Foundation (IGF), Kolkata, and National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI), New Delhi. He was an Assistant Convernor of the 2-day National seminar: Geography of Habitat (26-27 February, 2016 and 24-25 February, 2017), Organized by foundation of practicing Geographer, Kolkata, India. Currently he is supervising PhD and master?s students on various topics of geomorphology and geo-hydrology. His principal area of research includes geomorphology, geo-hydrology, environmental geography, and hazard management.
