Biography

Dr. William Taylor joined the faculty at UCSD Neurological Surgery in 1994. Dr. Taylor earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed his residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, and his specialty training in spinal surgery at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Taylor's practice is focused on the neurosurgical evaluation and treatment of spinal disorders. He is able to employ a broad range of spinal instrumentation, where needed. He has a special interest in endoscopic surgery for disk disease as well as minimally-invasure spine surgery.

Dr. Taylor has been invited as distinguished lecturer or panelist to numerous meetings and conferences. Dr. Taylor is also a member of numerous scientific and professional societies, including the American Medical Association, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. William Taylor is one of the authors of Journal of Spine Research.
