K.G.Revikumar has 33 years of teaching, research, practice and professional experience in pharmacy practice. He was the Chief and Head of the Dept. of Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy , Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum ( 1992 to 2003) Head of College of Pharm. Sciences, Govt. Medical College, Calicut, (2003-2007) and Principal, Amrita School of Pharmacy, Amrita University (2007-2011), Professor & Head of Pharmacy Practice National College of Pharmacy, Calicut, ( 2011-2012). He is presently the Director & Principal, Kerala Institute for Drug Studies, (KIDS) Trivandrum, Director, SIPAT, Kerala State Pharmacy Council, Trivandrum, and Director Research at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna, Kerala.Revikumar has taken B.Pharm (Kerala University ) M.Pharm Hospital Pharmacy( Delhi University) and PhD in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Kerala. He has to his credit many additional degrees and postgraduate diplomas in science, law, journalism, German language, business administration, Clinical Research and personnel management.He has edited / authored four text books/reference books including the “Text Book of Pharmacy Practice” (Career Publications) a reference book in pharmacy practice for B.Pharm, M.Pharm and PharmD students.

Clinical research, Clinical Trials, rational drug use, pharmacovigilance, therapeutic drug monitoring, DUR, Medicine procurement and drug policies, innovations in pharmacy practice, Curriculum development, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, community pharmacy , Formularies and Policies, drug information , Pharmacoeconomics ,Pharmacoepidemiology, patient counselling, public education and medication therapy management.
