Biography

Dr. Jie Ding is a Research Associate in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta. Dr. Ding received her MD, MSc and PhD in Surgery from Tianjin Medical University of China, and PhD in Biochemistry from Kagawa University of Medical School in Japan. She is a supervisor and committee member of graduate students in Surgery and a reviewer for the journal of PlosOne.

Research Interest

Besides she involved in the studies of acute abdomen, cancer, hypertension and heart hypertrophy, she is now focusing on the research of would healing and cellular and molecular mechanism of dermal fibrosis following burn injury, including the development of the promising engineered skin substitutes as a 3D model to study and skin substitute to explore the potential therapeutic approaches of dermal fibrosis.
