Dr. Yuanlin Song is currently a Professor and Researcher at Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. He is the Associated Chair of the Department and Associated Director of Shanghai Respiratory Research Institute. He is also the Associated Director of Shanghai Thoracic Society. He serves as associate editor of Respirology and Clinical Respiratory Journal. He has published more than 100 international peer viewed articles in the field.
Dr. Song focuses on pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and severe pneumonia, as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and bronchiectasis. He is interested in the pathogenesis of P. aeruginosa virulence factors on lung epithelial and endothelial barrier damage, efficacy and mechanism of stem cells and coagulation/fibrinolysis activity in acute lung injury/ARDS. He is also interested in the CFTR related epithelial micro-environment changes in COPD, the effects of PM2.5 on pulmonary function changes.
