Biography

Dr. Pantazis holds a B.Sc. in Animal Science (Agricultural University of Athens, Greece) and a Ph.D. in Aquaculture Nutrition (University of Stirling, U.K.). During 1997-2000, Dr. Pantazis has been a Scientific Officer at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS). Since 2001, Dr. Pantazis has served at various posts as Research Associate and Lecturer at the Department of Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, of the University of Thessaly, Greece. He has also served as Research Associate at the Alexandrian Technical Education Institution of Thessaloniki (T.E.I), Greece.Dr. Pantazis is an active qualified Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver (PADI) and has participated in numerous underwater research activities.

Research Interest

His research interests fall within various subjects related to the aquatic environment: Aquaculture Nutrition, Aquatic Nutritional Biochemistry, Aquaculture Husbandry & Reproduction, Biology and management of endangered aquatic species, Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA), Echinoderm biology and culture, Ecotoxicology, Sustainable Aquaculture, Sustainable Coastal Zone Management.
