|Prof. Nuhan Purali was born in 1961, ?zmir Turkey, educated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine as a medical doctor in 1987. 1988-1992 worked as a research assistant and resident student in pharmacology at Istanbul University. 1990-1997 worked at Karolinska Institutet as doctoral student. 1997 received his Ph.D. in the field of Neurophysiology. Since, 1998 and 2012 working at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine as a faculty member and Chairman of Biophysical Department, respectively. His primary research is focused on to mechanisms of mechano-electrical transduction, cellular electrophysiology and imaging methods, ion channel diseases and biomaterials. Presently, together with his team he is working on a project aimed at cloning and molecular characterization of the mechanosensitive ion channel complex in the stretch receptor neuron|
