Biography

Stefanie Bressan Waller is a veterinarian from the Federal University of Pelotas (Universidade Federal de Pelotas, UFPEL, Pelotas/RS, Brazil). She has a masters degree (M.Sc.) in Veterinary Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, UFRGS, Porto Alegre/RS, Brazil) and possesses a specialization in Small Animal Clinics from the Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA, Curitiba/PR, Brazil). She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences at the Federal University of Pelotas where she is a CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) scholarship awardee. She works in the Diagnostic and Research Center of Veterinary Mycology (Centro de Diagnóstico e Pesquisa em Micologia Veterinária) at the same Institution and has experience in infectious diseases of animals and public health. In addition, she has experience in antimicrobial susceptibility testing, including testing of natural products for phytotherapy.
