Biography
Wei Li. I graduated in 2008 from Zaozhuang college with a Bachelor of biotechnology. In 2013, I obtained Ph.D degree studying the exact molecular mechanisms of Swainsonine (natural toxin) -inhibited luteal cell progesterone secretion and induced apoptosis at North West Agriculture and Forestry University, College of Veterinary, under the directin of Prof.Dewen Tong. Now, I continued my studies in Center of Medical Physics and Technology, Hefei Institutes of Physical Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Research Interest
The main objective of research is to understand the biochemical and molecular mechanisms of natural toxin, heavy metal or other compounds biological effects. We examine these mechanisms from in vivo and in vitro in order to understand the biological effects of these compounds that control the response of humans or animals to toxic chemicals. Our research is guided by general questions such as:Whether ingesting these compounds can interfere with development of the reproductive and nervous systems.
What are the molecular mechanisms by which compounds disrupt reproductive?
