Research Interest

Current basic science laboratory work, at the Pennsylvania Muscle Institute (University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine) is focused on characterization of the ultrastructural changes in the calcium release units (Ryanodine receptors, calsequestrin, junction and junctophyllin) in protein over expressed and under expressed mouse models, an initial step to identifying the patho-physiology of arrhythmogenesis in mammalian channelopathies and heart failure.
