Biography
Dr. Tony Lu did his undergraduate training at Johns Hopkins University where he received a Bachelor?s of Science degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. After graduation, he worked as a Biomedical Flight Controller for the International Space Station at NASA Johnson Space Center. He later left to pursue a medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine where he spent an extra year pursuing his interest cardiovascular medicine studying cell signaling and cardiac remodeling at the Central Texas Veterans Affairs Hospital. Dr. Lu subsequently graduated with honors as part of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society and obtained a residency position in Vascular Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital. He remains active academically presenting at local and national meetings as well as publishing in nationally recognized peer reviewed journals.
