My Masters is in Zoology from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, India. I have qualified National eligibility test to earn fellowship to get registered in PhD programme. I have done my PhD from Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu (CSIR), India. My focus of research during PhD was to explore the role of autophagy in cancer. I have worked on different aspects of autophagy in cancer. I have studied the paradoxical relation between autophagic and apoptotic cell death. Furthermore, I have also demonstrated the relation between autophagy and angiogenesis and also the relation of autophagy with different signalling pathways such as PI3K/AKT signalling pathway and WNT signalling pathways. I have published sixteen articles and a book chapter in international journals. I have published five research papers as first author and a couple are in communication. I am interested in exploiting the role of autophagy in various pathological conditions.
