Biography
Dr. Srinath Rangappa received his Bachelors in Pharmacy (1993) and Masters in Pharmacology (1996) from Bangalore University, India, and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from JNTU, India.
Currently he is a post-doctoral research associate in Dr. Murthy?s Lab. Dr. Rangappa has more than 18 years of academic and research experience in different areas of Pharmacology & Pharmaceutics. He has supervised 22 post graduate students in pharmacology. He also has 24 research publications and 15 abstract presentations to his credit.
His primary research areas include neuro pharmacology, behavioral pharmacology, Pain and inflammatory Research. Presently he is working on a USFDA project. His research area also include drug delivery and dermatokinetics. His interest also includes novel drug delivery in Stroke, Huntington?s disease, ALS and Autism disorders.
Research Interest
Molecular cell biology involving studies on cellular level in micro-organisms or induced human pluripotent stem cells. Molecular Pharmacology: Involving techniques like Molecular Signaling, Mechanism of Drug action, Drug Discovery, Structure of Drug-receptor Complex and Drug Metabolism in areas of Cancer, Neuropsycho-Pharmacology, Behavioral Pharmacology, Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Endocrine Pharmacology, Ocular Pharmacology, Renal Pharmacology and AIDS.
