Biography
PhD, MOD, CIH, FAIHA is the Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the University of Toledo and a Co-Director of the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health. Prior to joining academia in 2001 she was a field industrial hygienist and the Occupational Health and Safety Manager for the Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, Illinois. She was also an epidemiologist for the Commonwealth of Kentucky on a federally-funded occupational mortality study. Her research interests are centered around exposure assessment particularly in agricultural settings focusing on farm families and on indoor air quality investigations in non-industrial and school settings. Dr. Milz is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and was named a Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association in 2015.
