Biography
Dr. Qingyi He has been an associated professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Southwest Hospital since 2006, which is one of the most famous teaching hospitals in China. Dr. He earned a Medical Degree at the Chongqing University of Medical Science followed by an internship and orthopaedic residency at the same University. His spine fellowship was at Third Military Medical University Hospital from 2002 to 2005. Dr. He is certified by the Chinese Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr.He is a recipient of various awards and honors such as Scientific and Technological Award for cartilage tissue engineering in 2005, Scientific and Technological Award for bone tissue engineering in 2007, The Second Class of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2008, all awards were offered in China.
Many professional societies count Dr. He among their members including: the Chinese Orthopaedic Association, Chinese Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Tissue Engineering Society, North American Spine Society.
On issues of spine and orthopaedics, Dr. He has contributed 5 chapters to Orthopedic books and has published more than 30 original papers and abstracts of scientific research in professional journals. He has given over 15 scientific presentations at national and international meetings. In addition to publishing and presenting original research, Dr. He is an Editor for the below journals: Editor of Journal of Clinical Rehabilitative Tissue Engineering Research, Editor of Journal of Nerve Regeneration Research(English Edition),Guest editor of Acta Academiae Medicinae Militaris Tertiae. Editor of Journal of Spine ï¼ËOpen Accessï¼â°.
Dr. He has extensive interest in basic science research on the spine, and he has been funded by the China National Nature and Science Foundation, China Scholarship Council.
China Scholarship Council sponsored Dr. Heââ¬â¢s studying abroad in Rush University Medical Center, USA, he was involved the NIH/NIAM project ââ¬ÅBiological Treatment Strategies by Growth Factors and Cytokine Inhibitors, NIAMS/NIH (5P01AR048152S)ââ¬Âin which he accomplished surgery of the rabbit lumbar disc degeneration disease model and perform the stem cells injection treatment in above disease model.
Dr. He has shown his great energy and dedication to research work and clinical practice. Minimal invasive surgery ( such as XLIF,TYESS) as well as biological therapy were performed in clinical work by Dr. He and his team.
Research Interest
Be interesting in the treatment of degenerative disc back pain using the stem cells especially the autogenous mesenchymal stem cells. Spine arthroplasty with an emphasis in cervical and lumbar arthroplasty. Computer assisted navigation of spine surgery, Interspinous spacers and dynamic stabilization of lumbar spine.
