Biography
Dr Philip Choi pursued his BSc (Med) MBBS from UNSW in 2011, Post-Graduation from St George Medical Research Foundation in 2013 and PhD from UNSW in 2017.Currently, he is the Consultant Haematologist, The Canberra Hospital, Australia, Principal Editor on ITP at the international journal ?Platelets?, member of the National Blood Authority Immunoglobulin Governance Specialist Working Group for Haematology. He had been awarded with HSANZ Travel Grant (2011) ASTH Science and Education Trust grant (2013) and The RCPA Foundation Kanematsu/Novo Nordisk Award 2014.His PhD at UNSW focussed on immune-mediated platelet disorders including ITP and heparin induced thrombocytopenia. His work has included running clinical research in using novel combinations of immunosuppression for ITP, and basic research into the pathogenic determinants of heparin/PF4 antibodies. His research interests includes: Immune thrombocytopenia, Heparin induced thrombocytopenia and Drug induced thrombocytopenia.
