Biography

Dr/ Noha El-Wassefy is an assistant professor of Dental Biomaterials at Mansoura University, Faculty of Dentistry, Egypt. She obtained her B.SC. in 1997 ranked the first on her colleagues, Noha got a master degree and a PHD in Dental Materials, her PHD thesis was nominated as one of the best thesis in Mansoura University. She was funded for six months post-doctoral fellowship in Minnesota Dental Research Center For Biomaterials and Biomechanics from the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education. Noha researched many Dental materials including; Ceramics, Cements, Composites, Biodentine, Bioglass, Implants and mini-implants Her expertise in dental research includes; Mechanical testing machines, Hardness, Scanning Electron Microscopes, Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, Ions release, X-rays Diffraction and Atomic Force Microscopy. She also conducted in vitro and in vivo studies. Noha reviewed papers for the Journal of Mechanical behavior of Biomedical Materials. She has got commitment and enthusiasm, which set her apart from anybody else.

Research Interest

All Dental materials including; Porcelain, Ceramics, Cements, Composites, Biodentine, Bioglass, Implants and mini-implants Testing includes; Mechanical testing machines, Flexural strength, Bond strength, Hardness, Scanning Electron Microscopes, Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, Ions release, X-rays Diffraction, Micro CT, Contact angle measurments and Atomic Force Microscopy. Remineralization studies, Surface modifications of Implants, Plasma reactivity.
