Biography

Dr. Murli Manohar, PhD, is a post-doctoral research fellow at Tulane University, New Orleans, USA. Dr. Manohar?s research is mainly focused on inflammatory disorders and their mechanisms, immunological regulation of cancer progression, fibrosis and associated fibro proliferative disorders, immunological regulation of gastrointestinal disorders such as eosinophilic esophagitis, eosinophilic pancreatitis, fibrosis, and pancreatic malignancy. Currently, he is working understand the role of immune cells in the pathophysiology of acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis, and pancreatic cancer. Dr. Manohar obtained his Ph.D from the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, INDIA. He studied the pathophysiology and treatment options for endocrine related cancers by using several polyphenolic and chemically synthesized compounds. Dr. Manohar has published several peer reviewed articles including 18 research papers, 7 review articles, 1 case report and 1 editorial. Dr. Manohar is the member of various scientific societies such as American Association of Cancer Research, American Gastroenterological Association, and American Association of Immunologist.
