Biography

Munjed Al Muderis is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Adjunct Associate Professor, School of Medicine, Notre Dame, Sydney and a Clinical Lecturer at Macquarie University. He has a passion for serving those in need, has lead to him to representing the Red Cross as an Ambassador, speaking for Amnesty International and UNHCR. Much of his time is devoted to his humanitarian causes as a public speaker advocating for human rights and equality for all. He also devotes a significant amount of his time nationally and internationally doing charity work and operating in under-priviledged countries. His pioneering spirit has lead to the development of Osseointegration Prosthetic Limb surgery for amputees as well as performing complex limb reconstruction surgery. In his day-to-day practice he specializes in computer navigated total knee replacement, complex knee revision surgery as well as minimally invasive total hip replacement surgery (anterior approach), complex hip revision surgery, as well as hip arthroscopy surgery. In his pursuit of excellence in Osseointegration, he is recognized as a world-leading surgeon in the field of osseointegration surgery and is the Chairman of the Osseointegration Group of Australia. His passion for teaching and research has lead to the supervision of Orthopaedic Fellowships, Registrars, medical students and the inclusion of an orthopaedic research team within his own private practice. It is this dedication to progressive orthopaedic technology motivates him to provide excellence in Orthopaedic practice. .
