Biography
Moisés DomÃÂnguez was born in 1983 in Santiago, Chile. He received his Bachelor's degree in
chemistry from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile in 2006 and PhD on physical organic
chemistry at the same university in 2011 under the guidance of Prof. Marcos Rezende
working on the experimental and theoretical study of the solvatocrhomism and the
halocrhomism of organic dyes. From 2012 to 2014 he was a postdoctoral fellow at Freie
Universität Berlin with Prof. Hans-Ulrich Reissig working in the synthesis and spectral study of
pyridine and terpyridine-based dyes. In 2015 he starts his independent career at Universidad
de Santiago.
Research Interest
organic chemistry and physical organic
chemistry from the development of synthetic methodology, the synthesis of optically
interesting organic dyes, computational calculations and development of new strategies for
the computer simulation of solute-solvent interactions.
