Biography
Luca Masotti was born in Livorno, Italy, in 1969. He became medical doctor at University of Pisa, Italy, in 1995, summa, and he obtained diploma at post-graduate School of Specialization in Geriatrics and Respiratory Diseases at University of Siena, Italy, respectively in 1999 and 2007, both summa cum lode. From 2005 to 2011 he was free Professor of Internal Medicine at Post-graduate School in Geriatrics at University of Siena, Italy. In 2014 he obtained the title of Master in Thrombosis and Haemostasis at University of Florence, Italy, summa.
From 2001 to 2013 he worked at Cecina Hospital, Italy, as Internist within the Internal Medicine ward of the Hospital. Since 2013 he works as Internist in Santa Maria Nuova Hospital, Florence, Italy. Main job activity encompasses for stroke and critical care medicine.
Over the years he developed competence in the field of stroke, vascular medicine and thrombosis and haemostasis. He is the first Author and Co-Author of many publications in International and Italian peer review Journals, many of these with impact factor. He is actually member of the Italian Society for the Study of Haemostasis and Thrombosis (SISET), Italian Federation of Hospital Internists (FADOI) and National Association of Hospital Cardiologists for the Pulmonary Vascular Diseases (ANMCO). He collaborates with many scientific Journals as Editor in Chief, member of editorial Boards or Referee.
