Biography
Dr. Fengxiang Qiao is an affiliated professor in the Department of Environmental and Interdisciplinary Sciences, a professor in the Department of Transportation Studies, an affiliated professor in the Department of Engineering, a graduate faculty supervising Ph.D. students in Environmental Toxicology and Master of Science degree students in Transportation Planning and Management at Texas Southern University (TSU). Dr. Qiao specialized in the fields of vehicle exhaust and noise emission testing and modeling, transportation impacts on environment and public health, ecological transportation system modeling and development, transportation planning, traffic operation, transportation simulation, and intelligent transportation system. He is the co-director of Innovative Transportation Research Institute (ITRI) at TSU, and was the co-director of the Tier 1 U.S. Department of Transportation University Transportation Center (UTC) TranLIVE (Transportation for Livability by Integrating Vehicles and the Environment) on TSU side from year 2012-2016.
