Biography
Kiran Singh, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the department of Molecular and Human Genetics, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. She completed her Ph.D in the year 2005 from Cytogenetic Laboratory, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. She specializes in Diabetes & Reproductive Genetics including Diabetes and diabetic foot ulcer genetics, Genetics of male & female infertility, recurrent miscarriage. She has over a decade experience in above field and has over 55 scientific publications in peer reviewed national and international journals with good citations. PI or key investigator on over six active grants. She has also published book chapters in the relevant field. She has many recognitions and awards to her credit. She is editorial member and academic editor of many reputed journals. She has also delivered invited lectures in national and international conferences.
Research Interest
Immunogenetic, genomics and proteomics of impairment of wound healing in diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) and reproductive disorders (male infertility, preterm birth and miscarriage, innate and adaptive immunological response alteration, Also focusing on oxidative stress and mitochondrial damage, inflammatory markers, epigenetic modifications, angiogenesis and apoptotic pathways molecular alterations in these disorders.
