Dr.Giorgio Racagni is a Full Professor of Pharmacology and
Director of Department of Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences, University of Milan.He was also the Secretary General and President of CINP and secretary general and Vice-President of World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry.The research activity of Prof. Racagni is documented by 474 scientific publications and by 50 books.
Research Interest
Three main areas of research in the field of neuropsychopharmacology are currently been carried on:
-Neurobiology of affective and schizophrenic spectrum disorders.
-Mechanism of action of antidepressant and antipsychotic drugs.
-Molecular mechanism underlying neuroprotection and neuroexcitotoxicity.
