Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow interested in understanding the molecular evolution of plant viruses and how the insect transmission constraints the selective pressure that underlying the appearance of emerging virus diseases. I joined Dr. Alana Jacobson's lab in Auburn University to participate in this project and study how the whitefly (B. tabaci-SSA1) influences the evolution of Cassava mosaic begomovirus (CMBs). I am rotating working at the BecA-ILRI Hub facilities in Kenya where I am responsible for the virus evolution studies during vector transmission. I also like psychedelic trance, jazz, salsa, bachata, kizomba not only listening music but dancing and I am eager to learn about dancing contemporary African music!
