Biography

Dr. Eshtiaq Alfaraj obtained Bachelor of science in Nursing from King Faisal University, KSA. Prior to academic job, she worked as a nurse at Dhahran Health Center of Saudi Aramco. In 2000, She was a Chevening scholar of British Council to study postgraduate at the University of Edinburgh. She obtained a PhD in Nursing Philosophy in 2008 from University of Surrey, UK. Later, she assumed a role as an Assistance Professor of Nursing Education at University of Dammam. Since then, she had a profound contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning, Students Scientific Research, Continuing Education, social responsibility and Academic accreditation. She carried out number of research studies related to teaching strategies, and professional development. She participated as reviewer of research proposal submitted for funding (2014-2015) at sultan Qaboos university, Oman. Currently, she is a member of the Saudi Scientific Nursing Board at Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
