Biography
Dr. Cheng Zhang graduated from Xiangya School of Mediicne, Central South University in China in 1995. Afterwards, he completed residency and fellowship training in otolaryngology at Beijing Hospital. His research was focused on immune mediated inner ear diseases at that time. Because of his passion in basic science research and medicine, he then completed his PhD studies in Molecular Biology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in the USA. After obtaining his PH.D degree in 2005, I spent additional 6 moths to receive post-doctoral training in studying the molecular mechanism of alcoholic pancreatitis. Afterwards, he have received medicine residency training at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, affiliated to the Johns Hopkins University from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2012, he have completed the gastroenterology fellowship training in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical Center.

The molecular mechanism of inflammatory bowel disease, signaling transduction pathways in inflammatory bowel disease, genetic research of inflammatory bowel disease, outcomes research of inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease.
