Biography

Dildar Konukoğlu was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1963. Received MD licence from Ege University Medical Faculty, İzmir, in 1987. After obligatory duties in Ağrı, 1988; she became research assistant in The Department of Medical and Clinical Biochemistry of İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty followed by residency in 1991, Associate Professoriate in 1995, and became Professor in 2000 . She is still a stuff member and currently the chair of the Department of Medical Biochemistry in Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. Prof. Dr. Konukoğlu is also the head manager of Central Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory in Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty Hospital . Her current research areas are Alzheimer’s Diseases and Prion related neurodegenerative disorders, prediabetic novel markers and their relationship with neurodegenerative disorders, and also novel markers in obesity, oxidative stress and atherosclerosis.
