Biography
Dr. Patrice Berthod is Assistant Professor at the University of Lorraine (France).
Engineer graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Lille in Mechanical Engineering (1987), he obtained a Ph.D. in Science and Engineering of Materials in 1993 and an Ability to Supervise Researches in Chemistry in 2010.
His previous professional experiences were: teacher in mathematics, industrial R&D engineer in metallurgy and foundry, teacher in metallurgy and foundry in an Engineers high school.
His teaching activities at the Faculty of Science and Technologies of the University of Lorraine in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy concern inorganic chemistry, metallurgy, mechanical properties of materials, corrosion. His research works at the Institut Jean Lamour (CNRS laboratory) deals with superalloys, cast irons, steels and dental alloys (elaboration, microstructures, mechanical and chemical properties).
He supervised many Master students in trainee period, and about ten Ph.D. students and post-docs.
His scientific production is 235 articles, 79 proceedings, 83 oral communications, 109 posters.
