Biography
Professor Alfredo R Galassi (MD FACC, FESC, and FSCAI) is an Associate of professor of Cardiology at the University of Catania and Senior Consultant in Interventional Cardiology at the University Heart Center Zurich, University Hospital Zurich, has received his training in cardiology, nuclear medicine and interventional cardiology at Hammersmith Hospital, London England.
President of the Euro CTO Club he has been performing complex percutaneous coronary interventions PCI (including chronic total occlusions CTO and bifurcations) since 2014 when he treated the first patients in Europe with CTO by retrograde approach. Since then Prof Galassi influenced the tremendous further technical development of complex revascularization especially CTO?s being one of the Key Opinion Leader in the field of complex coronary interventions around Europe and beyond, conducting more than 500 live courses for complex PCI during international and local meetings around the world.
He has more than 200 publications in the field of physiopathology, nuclear medicine and interventional cardiology on peer reviewed articles.
