Tamiru Oljira completed B.Sc (1998 – 2001 ) at Haramaya University in the department of Biology  and completed Master of Science (M.Sc.) in the department of Biology and Applied Genetics at University of Addis Ababa from 2009 – 2012. He worked as a lecturer at University of Haramaya in the Department of Biology and worked as a lecturer and researcher at Haramaya University in the Department of Biology then he worked at Wellcome Trust Advanced course, Durban. Currently he is working as an assistant professor in the department of biology and genetics at Haramaya University.
