Biography

I joined ScHARR in January 2013.  I have a background in sociology, demography and public health and formal training and expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methodologies. I gained my PhD in Public Health Medicine from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and then spent extended periods of time living and researching in India and Bangladesh.  For the past 10 years or so, I have focused primarily on UK public health issues, with a particular interest in the health needs and experiences of minority ethnic populations.  I am currently primarily engaged in work under the umbrella of the NIHR National School for Public Health Research.
