Biography

Associate Professor Robyn Dixon is a register general and obstetric nurse and has a PhD in Educational Psychology. She is the immediate past  Director of the Centre for Child and Family Policy Research ( 12years) and currently a co -director of  the NEw Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse.  Robyn has wide experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in completing both research and evaluation projects. She has extensive experience in working with children, young people, families and their communities in  areas related to Health, Education, Justice and Welfare. In addition she is a member of two World University Network  Health Literacy collaborations and is in leading an international project on health literacy and health professionals and is a co -investigator on a project investigating understandings of the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease in a variety of communities.
