Biography

Doctor Peter Allmark has worked within Centre for Health and Social Care Research at Sheffield Hallam University since 2006. He has published extensively in peer reviewed international journals as well as in books and peer reviewed conference papers. He has also contributed many projects, notably the large volume of work undertaken for the Equalities and Human Rights Commission in 2009. His work is extensively cited and he is currently "Top Author" on the SHURA site with over 45,000 downloads. He supervises 7 doctoral students and has three completions (with 2 currently submitting). He has worked on a range of funded projects including some as PI. He undertakes doctoral and masters-level teaching on areas relating to his research and specialism, such research ethics and the philosophy of science. He is Chair of the Faculty Research Ethics Committee and member of other related committees. He is Athena Swan champion for the Health and Social Care Research Centre.
