Biography

Dr. Maria Psoinos is a Social Psychologist. She holds a PhD and an MPhil in Social Psychology from Cambridge University, UK, and a BSc in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She has worked as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Cambridge, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, St George’s University of London and Kingston University.  From 2009 until 2014 she was an Honorary Research Fellow at the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education at St George’s University of London and Kingston University. She is currently Adjunct Psychology Professor at the American College of Thessaloniki.  Her research expertise is on the psychosocial well-being of highly skilled migrants and refugees. She has given conference presentations and has published widely in the fields of: migration and psychosocial health; interprofessional research and practice in health and social care; qualitative research methodology.
