 Dr. Jesus Porta-Etessam a degree in medicine and surgery from the Complutense University of Madrid and made ​​the residence of neurology at the university hospital "October 12" in Madrid, completing his training at the center neurooncológico Sloan Kettering in New York. Master in statistics and epidemiology for at UNED and completed the training program in Leadership and Strategic Management of Scientific Societies ESADE program and  senior management of health institutions IESE. . He currently works as a neurologist at the hospital Clinic or San Carlos de Madrid in the inpatient unit, headaches and neurootooftalmología, where he is one of the guardians of resident and member of the Institute of Neuroscience. He also works as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Neurology and Neuroscience. Member of the editorial committee of Headache Research and Treatment, Neurology, Journal of Neurology, Kranion, Neuroscience and History and Lancet Neurology (Castilian).  He is the coordinator of the online platform PCI. It has been awarded the prize SEN headaches for his teaching and research in this field. He has published over 200 articles indexed in national and international journals, more than 30 chapters and has edited several books.
