Biography

Gregory P. Cosgrove, MD, is Associate Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at National Jewish Health, Denver, CO, where he holds an endowed chair in interstitial lung disease. He also serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. He joined the Interstitial Lung Disease Program at National Jewish Health in 2002, after completing his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Colorado Denver. In collaboration with other members of the Interstitial Lung Disease Program, he is investigating novel therapies for interstitial lung disease. His basic science research focuses on wound repair within the lung and its relationship to pulmonary fibrosis. Dr. Cosgrove is the recipient of a Parker B. Francis Fellowship in Pulmonary Research and an Outstanding Junior Faculty award. He is a member of the CHEST editorial board and is a reviewer for the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology, the European Respiratory Journal, and Arthritis and Rheumatism.

Research Interest

His basic science research focuses on wound repair within the lung and its relationship to pulmonary fibrosis.
