Biography

Mr. Nichols is the Program Manager for Nanotechnology Studies at ORAU, where he provides subject matter expertise on topics related nanotechnology and interfaces with universities, national laboratories, technical experts, local, state, and federal agencies, and other organizations to identify applicable funding opportunities and develop partnerships. Mr. Nichols has published on a variety of topics regarding nanotechnology and public health, including nanomedicine and culture, applications of nanoparticles in cancer detection, and health and safety in composites manufacturing. He is the co-author of a book chapter on using epidemiology in risk assessment and has been an invited speaker to nearly 10 events to discuss nanotechnology. He holds a master?s degree in public health and received his bachelor?s degree in philosophy, both of which are from the University of Tennessee. He is also certified in public health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
