Biography
Dr. Abdelmoneim is a cardiologist and a researcher scientist who holds the academic position of Associate Professor in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Rochester MN / Research collaborator , Mayo Clinic Rochester MN and Associate lecture of cardiology in cardiovascular medicine, Assiut University ? Egypt. Dr. Abdelmoneim is a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE), Fellow of American College of Cardiology (FACC) and fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC). Dr. Abdelmoneim graduated with honors from Assiut University School of Medicine in Egypt were he also completed a residency and obtained a Master?s of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Cardiology. Dr. Abdelmoneim completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in echocardiography at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota during which she completed a Postdoctoral Master?s of Science (M.S.) degree in Clinical and Translational Research from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and became board certified in Echocardiography. Dr. Abdelmoneim serves as a reviewer for several national and international cardiovascular and cardiac imaging journals. As of Sept 2017, Dr. Abdelmoneim has 56 peer-reviewed publications, 4 book chapters, and over 100 published abstracts and conference reports with an H index of 16.
Research Interest
Application of contrast perfusion echocardiography in various cardiovascular diseases, novel technology in echo (3D and strain), cardio-oncology research, noninvasive diagnostic testing of heart disease in women, and evidence based medicine.
